Location & Directions
The City of Davis is halfway between the Bay Area and the Sierra Nevadas. In the heart of the Sacramento Valley, UC Davis is just 15 minutes from the State Capitol in Sacramento, museums, and other metropolitan attractions. Davis is located on Interstate 80 about an hour and a half north east of San Francisco and about an hour and a half from Donner Summit near Lake Tahoe. Sacramento International Airport is twenty minutes from downtown Davis.

Parking on the UC Campus
When driving to the Summer Tax Institute, visitor parking is most convenient in the North Entry Parking Structure.
To reach this parking structure, take Interstate 80, exit at Davis-Richards Blvd., and go under railroad overcrossing.
Turn left at stop light (First Street). Proceed on First Street, and turn right on B Street.
At the second traffic light turn left on Russell Boulevard. At the second traffic light, turn left on Howard Way.
Make a left turn into the parking structure.
Parking costs $6.00 per day, Monday through Friday (Saturday and Sunday
are free). The first level is metered parking. Purchase your permit from the dispenser located at the entrance to the structure. You may need to park temporarily near the entrance while you use the machine. The machine will accept quarters, $1 bills, Visa or MasterCard
credit cards.
You may park only where "C" permits are accepted (on a portion of the 2nd level and all of the 3rd and 4th levels) of the structure. Please remember to display your parking permit on your car dash. Campus police will ticket vehicles that do not display a valid permit or not parked in visitor spaces.
Walk down Howard Way, pass the Bus Station and turn right to North Quad, turn left to West Quad and right to the path leading to Wellman Hall.
